Two great voices for the Opening Night: Chris Rea, a successful artist for decades with 30 million albums sold and hits like «Josephine» and «On The Beach», presents his new album «Road Songs For Lovers» in Basel. This is his first album of ballads for years, following a string of albums dedicated purely to soul. The British singer and guitarist is supported by Imelda May. With her powerful voice, the Irish singer has also produced an album that signals a new direction in style: «Life, Love, Flesh, Blood» showcases a new side to the artist, replacing rockabilly with soul, folk, blues and rock.
