Oscar Peterson first performed in the US in 1949 when «jazz king» Norman Granz invited him to perform in «Jazz at the Philharmonic» at Carnegie Hall in New York. His performance was the sensation of the concert and there was no stopping the rise to fame of one of the world’s greatest jazz pianists.
