Diana Krall

Male and female performing artists do not exist simply in order to fulfil our expectations. What can be expected, however, is artistic honesty and quality. In both of the above, Diana Krall and Peter Schärli and their respective musicians go well beyond the call of duty. The icing on the cake is swing, drive, beautiful melodies, masterfully clever chords, refined improvisation, virtuosic craftsmanship, empathetic interplay: in short, basically everything that jazz, or good music period, has to offer. Just lie back and enjoy the moment, with Diana Krall’s wonderfully smoky voice and Peter Schärli’s shady, muted trumpet sounds.
