No road into the charts passed him by: In the mid-1980s, Holly Johnson and his band Frankie Goes To Hollywood defined the sound of the times with hits like «Relax», «Two Tribes» and «The Power Of Love». He scored another global hit with his solo «Americanos». For some time, Holly has devoted himself mainly to painting while performing as Holly Johnson at select festivals around Europe. At the Baloise Session you can now experience one of those rare live appearances. The band Morcheeba shares the evening with him. Ten years after Johnson, they made their mark with hits like «Rome Wasn’t Built In A Day», «The Sea» and «Otherwise» – music of a very different kind, whose power lies in the voice of singer Skye Edwards and in the band’s great live performances.
