The world-renowned trumpet player had thrilled 16,000 students with his «Introduction to Jazz Music» in Vienna in 1988 over a period of three weeks, and in 1990, he also enthralled the Basel audience. His programme included the presentation of jazz as a music genre and its traditional instrument and musically embellished anecdotes of great jazz musicians. The highlight of the afternoon was the concert of a school choir. This event was created in cooperation with Basel’s Social Educational Services.
