Herbert Grönemeyer
Sun, 13. Oct 2019, 9.15 PM | Opening Night II
Rock star, poet, actor, record company boss. Herbert Grönemeyer is a man of many talents – and much more. Behind his vocal powers hides a sensitive human being, shaped by huge successes and reversals of fortune. An inquisitive seeker of new sources of inspiration and fresh creativity. With him, no concert is ever alike – because he also acts as the mirror of his audience and a reflection of his creative surroundings. His second evening sees him paired with the German-Canadian musician Alice Merton, who shot up the international charts with her autobiographical hit «No Roots». Music that asks questions and delivers answers.

Sat, 12. Oct 2019, 9.15 PM | Opening Night
With his voice, his music, his lyrics and his messages, no other German singer moves German-speaking Europe as much as Herbert Grönemeyer. Like a seismograph, he registers social issues and distils them into songs of timeless depth. What an experience to see this great artist up close and personal in the intimate setting of a club concert! Like Herbert Grönemeyer, Jazz Morley knows how to move the soul with powerful melodies and lyrics. According to Elton John, this singer-songwriter from Bournemouth, on the south coast of England, embodies «the future of music» and will be opening the evening.

Fri, 18. Nov 2005, 8 PM | Grönland Label Night
Herbert Grönemeyer, who has been a patron of new talent for a number of years, presented seven stylistically diverse line-ups from his "Grönland" label on the closing night of the festival edition 2005. He was MC for the evening and played with some of the acts. Anyone who is familiar with Herbert Grönemeyer from interviews and his shows knew to expect intelligent, first-class entertainment as well as good music. The variety of music being performed and the presence of Herbert Grönemeyer made the show – which is a European exclusive – a unique and unforgettable experience.
